Creature Relations

The little "creatures" in this animation each rotate an invisible point (marked by x's), but the nature and distance of their rotational behaviors are governed by their relationship to other creatures (as indicated by the connecting lines). Their movements, though initially looking like a predictable pattern, actually mutate through a variety of resonances resulting in unpredictable modulations.

Adding more nodes starts to make the whole framework look strangley life-like (scroll down to see more), as each part is dynamically affected by the motions of all the other parts.
