score - workshop architektur und spiel

Ok, this sounds quite cool. Cross-disciplinary, quite possibly, if they do it right.

“During the workshop, participants will invent and build games that relate to the structure and location of the Schokofabrik (Dresden,Germany)
With the use of digital and analog tools, participants will create playful links between different mediums: perhaps light and sound, movement and noise etc.. Various instructional workshops covering techniques related to the projects will be taught by specialists and technicians. In addition, lectures will illuminate the theme and it’s infinite meanings, deepening the theoretical and philosophical possibilities. On the last day, the public is invited to play, discuss the projects, and party.

Lovely photos by the BBC! Wicked design. Those Germans know clean and purposeful design.

I love the central box form as this “machine for travel”, like a factory that creates movement as the organic forms of the rail and galleria-style roof flow out. Or, probably more appropriate, a mall that sells Spielraum und Durchfahrt.
